Early on Alina was attracted to abstract expressionism and cubism. Her first influences were Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, and Antoni Tapies. She received her B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin where she learned to extend herself intimately into her abstract oil paintings.

As Alina continued to paint and showcase her works, she grew curious of the digital medium. She entered the Visual Communications Design program at Austin Community College and graduated with a focus in 3D modeling and animation. This led to her current job as a 2D/3D artist at a videogame development company called Steel Penny Games.

Ever evolving, Alina's works have become a merging of the abstract and figurative in both physical and digital mediums. To quote Marcel Duchamp, "I have forced myself to contradict myself in order to avoid conforming to my own taste."
